So after procrastinating as far as getting back to my friends on whether or not I’d be going to PAX, I figured out that I’d be able to make it on Sunday & ordered my tickets. I sort of felt that they’d been waiting to get their tickets ’till they knew if/when I was going, which made me feel a bit guilty so I wasted no time informing them & they decided to look into going Saturday and Sunday. This was a couple of weeks ago. Then Saturday sold out so they decided to go for Sunday. Then everything sold out. Now I go alone. Ah well.

So… if anyone reading this will be as PAX on Sunday & would like to meet up for lunch or something, shoot me an email! ^_^

When it comes to conventions, I really enjoy walking the floor. I mean REALLY enjoy walking the floor. My motto may as well be, “If you haven’t seen it the first six times around, it’s bound to turn up on the seventh!” It’s always fun to chat with the people behind the stuff I love. I’d never have discovered some of my favorite artists and games if it weren’t for meeting people on the convention floor. At least not as early, anyway.

I will try to make it to a couple of panels, of course. I’ve got my sights on the Star Wars: The Old Republic panel as well as Wil Wheaton’s Awesome Hour!!1.

On to Almost Otaku stuff. I’ve been playing with Word Press a bit today. I’ve figured out a couple of things that I didn’t know before, which is good. I really need to spend some time playing around with it, sifting through the support forums, etc. Some of the links have now been rearranged & some of the Sketch Game submissions have finally been uploaded. One or two of them are actually photos of the sketches taken because I didn’t have a working scanner at the time. Once I find the originals I’ll scan them & replace those images.

While I’m on the subject, I’ve slightly changed the rules for the Sketch Game. I’ll happily give the winner the sketch if they want it, free of charge. As long as the cost of sending it is within reason, of course.

That’s about all I’ve got at the moment. I think I’ll be starting up another Sketch Game in the next day or so. I may start work on another webcomic too. I still want to do the one about the zoo…

Just updated the gallery a little. I’ve added a handful to the Color & Pencil/Sketch sections. The one with the motorcycle will be updated soon. I HAD a version with a background, however somehow (read: stupidity on my part) it was erased & I’ll have to update it from home now. All of the additions to the color section are actually pieces I did for commission. I’ll be adding stuff from my sketch game to the gallery as well.
